PNCC 4G/5G modernization

LotusFlare has been selected by Palau National Communications Corporation (PNCC) to deliver a digital commerce and monetization platform. This move supports PNCC’s 4G/5G Standalone (SA) network modernization programme. As a result, PNCC is accelerating its shift to a fully cloud-native telecom environment.

The new platform includes a full-stack digital business support system (dBSS). It will manage commerce, billing, and monetization services. In addition, it will support mobile, fixed broadband, and digital TV subscribers. The solution also enables multi-tenant capabilities. Therefore, PNCC can align services with its long-term digital and regional strategy.

PNCC 4G/5G Modernization Accelerates Digital Growth

As the national telecom operator of the Republic of Palau, PNCC is leading a major transformation. The PNCC 4G/5G modernization programme includes a standalone mobile network built on open architecture principles. Moreover, it introduces cloud-native core systems, OSS, BSS, and digital platforms.

This modernization focuses on speed, agility, and customer experience. For example, PNCC aims to reduce time-to-market for new services. At the same time, it seeks to improve operational efficiency and network resilience. Consequently, customers will benefit from faster and more reliable connectivity.

After a competitive tender process, PNCC chose LotusFlare for its AI-driven platform and global CSP expertise. Furthermore, LotusFlare demonstrated strong technical capabilities and industry experience.

Cloud-Native dBSS Strengthens 5G Strategy

LotusFlare’s DNO™ Cloud will act as the digital backbone of the new 5G SA network. It enables flexible service creation and real-time monetization. In addition, it supports seamless digital integration across channels.

According to LotusFlare CEO Sam Gadodia, geographic isolation no longer limits digital ambition. Instead, modern cloud platforms allow smaller nations to compete globally. Therefore, the PNCC 4G/5G modernization initiative positions Palau as a digital leader in the Pacific region.

PNCC CEO Simon Fraser emphasized the importance of an API-driven dBSS. He noted that agility is critical for launching new digital services quickly. As a result, PNCC can deliver world-class connectivity to its customers.

Building a Future-Ready Digital Ecosystem

Overall, the PNCC 4G/5G modernization project reflects a long-term commitment to innovation. By combining advanced infrastructure with a cloud-native commerce platform, PNCC is creating a scalable digital foundation.

Looking ahead, this transformation will support future services and regional expansion. Ultimately, it ensures that the people of Palau receive secure, modern, and high-quality digital experiences.
