Availity, the nation’s largest real-time health information network, today announced the appointment of Hannah Alphs Jackson, MD, MHSA, as its first Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Dr. Jackson brings extensive experience from all facets of healthcare. Over her career, she has held roles in physician and payer leadership, where she has integrated value-based care models with clinical operations ultimately to support effective utilization management and quality improvement to transformation healthcare operations and processes.
Availity created the CMO role to bring clinical leadership into the development of its technology, data exchange, and AI-powered solutions, ensuring innovation is grounded in the real-world needs of payers, providers, and patients.
As CMO, Dr. Jackson will leverage her understanding of both payer and provider workflows to shape Availity’s clinical strategy and guide the responsible application of technology, automation and artificial intelligence. As part of the executive leadership team, she will be responsible for ensuring all solutions continue to support providers, health plans and patients through clinically informed, data-driven innovation.
