The Unitree Spring Festival Gala robots stunned global audiences at the 2026 Spring Festival Gala hosted by China Media Group. As the official robot partner for the third time, Unitree Robotics showcased its G1 and H2 humanoid robots in the world’s first fully autonomous humanoid robot cluster martial arts performance featuring rapid coordinated movement.
By blending traditional Chinese Kung Fu with advanced robotics and AI, Unitree demonstrated how embodied intelligence continues to push technological boundaries.
Breaking Motion Limits with World-First Robot Performances
During the gala, Unitree humanoid robots achieved multiple world-first technical milestones in motion performance.
The robots completed the world’s first continuous freestyle table-vaulting parkour. In addition, they executed the first launched aerial flip with a height exceeding three meters. They also performed continuous single-leg flips, a two-step wall-assisted backflip, and a seven-and-a-half-rotation Airflare grand spin.
At the coordination level, the company achieved the world’s first high-speed humanoid robot cluster movement. The robots reached a maximum arbitrary movement speed of 4 meters per second. Moreover, newly developed dexterous robotic hands enabled fast prop switching and stable gripping of martial arts weapons.
These advancements significantly improve explosive power, agility, coordination, and reliability. As a result, Unitree has expanded the technical limits of humanoid robot motion control.
AI Fusion Localization and High-Concurrency Cluster Control
To power the Unitree Spring Festival Gala robots performance, the team deployed an upgraded high-concurrency cluster control system. This system synchronized dozens of robots in real time while maintaining ultra-low latency.
Furthermore, Unitree introduced a self-developed AI fusion localization algorithm. The system processes proprioceptive data and integrates it with 3D LiDAR inputs hundreds of times per second. Consequently, the robots maintain precise localization even after intense aerial movements.
Traditional localization systems often lose tracking during rapid flips or high-impact landings. However, Unitree’s AI fusion model prevents drift and cumulative motion errors. By combining refined control models with advanced localization, the robots executed complex formation transitions smoothly and accurately.
This integration ultimately enabled the world’s first fully autonomous humanoid robot cluster martial arts performance with fast dynamic movement.
H2 Robot Takes Center Stage in Main and Sub Venues
At the gala’s main venue, the H2 humanoid robot appeared as a “Sword Grandmaster.” After completing a precise sword routine, it joined hands with a young martial artist to perform a traditional fist-and-palm salute. This symbolic gesture represented the fusion of martial arts heritage and future human–machine collaboration.
Meanwhile, at the Yiwu sub-venue, H2 reappeared dressed as the Monkey King. It wielded a golden cudgel while standing atop B2W quadruped robot dogs, portraying the legendary “somersault cloud.” The robot moved through city streets before landing at the Egg Theater, seamlessly blending robotics with traditional Chinese culture.
Unitree Leads the Global Humanoid Robot Market
The Unitree Spring Festival Gala robots performance highlights the company’s global leadership in embodied intelligence. In 2025, Unitree ranked No.1 worldwide in humanoid robot shipments. Building on that momentum, the company continues accelerating innovation in 2026.
By combining artificial intelligence, robotics engineering, and cultural storytelling, Unitree Robotics demonstrates how technology and tradition can advance together. As humanoid robots evolve, the company remains committed to expanding real-world applications across industries worldwide.
