Unified Communications Accelerator

Mitel and L-SPARK Mark Successful Accelerator Showcase

Mitel and L-SPARK celebrated the successful completion of the inaugural Mitel Unified Communications Accelerator cohort. The program concluded with a live Showcase event highlighting integrated, market-ready solutions developed in just six months.

Launched in August, the accelerator connects high-potential AI, IoT, and digital experience companies with Mitel’s unified communications ecosystem. As a result, startups can build, validate, and refine solutions designed for industries such as hospitality, retail, and operations management.

Driving Innovation in Unified Communications

The accelerator, powered by L-SPARK Select, enables participants to leverage Mitel’s low-code and no-code Workflow Studio alongside Mitel CX, its AI-driven customer experience platform. Consequently, companies can solve real-world communication and collaboration challenges faster.

Throughout the six-month program, founders received hands-on mentorship from L-SPARK. In addition, Mitel engineers and product leaders provided direct technical support. Channel partners also shared feedback, ensuring every solution aligned with customer needs.

According to Mitel’s leadership, the cohort extended the company’s AI capabilities across practical use cases. These include intelligent guest engagement, compliance monitoring, and autonomous case resolution. Therefore, customers can realize measurable value from AI-powered communications more quickly.

Showcase Highlights in Ottawa

The Showcase took place on February 19 at Ottawa’s Brookstreet Hotel. Founders, investors, and industry leaders attended live pitches and product demonstrations. Moreover, the event demonstrated how tightly integrated voice, workflow, and collaboration tools can unlock new operational value.

In only six months, each of the eight participating companies progressed from concept to proof-of-concept. Notably, all eight organizations joined the Mitel Technology Network and began solution certification. This step supports broader adoption across Mitel’s global partner ecosystem.

Participating Companies and Integrated Solutions

The inaugural cohort featured eight companies from Canada, the United States, and Europe. Each developed a Mitel-integrated solution that enhances communications and customer experience:

  • IDgo – Secure mobile-based user authentication integrated into communication workflows.

  • Intelocate – Voice-enabled operations platform for multi-location businesses.

  • Micrometrics – AI-powered guest engagement and workflow solution for hospitality.

  • MosaicVoice – Real-time AI compliance and coaching for regulated contact centers.

  • SuitePad – In-room hotel guest experience platform integrated with Mitel telephony.

  • TeamMate Technology – Microsoft Teams integration with Mitel’s enterprise voice system.

  • Typewise – AI-driven autonomous case resolution for contact centers.

  • Zendelity – Closed-loop frontline operations platform connected to IoT systems.

Collectively, these integrations demonstrate how unified communications platforms can evolve through AI-driven collaboration and ecosystem partnerships.

What’s Next for the Accelerator

With the Showcase milestone complete, Mitel and L-SPARK will now support pilot deployments and go-to-market activities. Furthermore, cohort companies will collaborate with Mitel’s global channel partners to scale adoption.

As digital transformation accelerates, unified communications platforms must integrate AI seamlessly. This accelerator initiative illustrates how structured collaboration can turn emerging innovation into customer-ready solutions within months.
