PowerBank Corporation has announced a Orbit AI investment of US$500,000 following the successful launch of the “Genesis” satellite mission in December 2025. The move signals PowerBank’s entry into the rapidly growing space infrastructure sector while strengthening its collaboration with Orbit AI.
The investment supports Orbit AI’s transition from proof-of-concept technology to operational infrastructure. Moreover, it establishes a framework for future funding as both companies prepare for global expansion.
Genesis Mission Validates Orbital Technology
The Genesis satellite achieved all mission objectives on December 10, 2025. Notably, it became the first system to combine on-orbit blockchain validation with AI inference computing. This breakthrough confirms the technical viability of an “Orbital Cloud” designed to process data directly in space.
Orbiting Earth at roughly 547 km and traveling at 7.59 km per second, the satellite completes a full rotation every 95 minutes. As a result, the system benefits from continuous solar exposure and efficient operations.

Dr. Richard Lu, CEO of PowerBank, emphasized that moving AI computing into space removes energy and cooling constraints found on Earth. Consequently, the company aims to help build a sovereign digital layer powered by advanced solar systems.
Patrick Zhou, CEO of Smartlink AI, added that Orbit AI plans to deploy up to 5,000 satellites by 2030. Therefore, the partnership could accelerate the development of a global space-based AI and communications constellation.
Targeting a High-Growth Space Market
Orbit AI operates at the intersection of satellite communications, AI infrastructure, and blockchain technology. The global satellite market alone is projected to reach approximately $615 billion by 2032. Meanwhile, adjacent opportunities such as orbital data centers and satellite services could add more than $115 billion in value.
