MosaiX DNA Library Prep Kit Debuts for Advanced NGS Workflows

seqWell has officially introduced the MosaiX DNA Library Prep Kit, a next-generation solution designed to enhance high-performance NGS applications. The new kit supports large-scale projects such as human whole genome sequencing (WGS), large plant and animal genomics, and hybrid capture workflows including whole exome sequencing (WES) and targeted panels.

The launch of the MosaiX DNA Library Prep Kit coincides with the Advances in Genome Biology and Technology General Meeting (AGBT) in Orlando, Florida, where seqWell is presenting performance data from the new platform. As genomic research expands to larger populations and higher data volumes, laboratories increasingly need faster workflows without sacrificing quality. Therefore, seqWell developed MosaiX to eliminate the traditional trade-off between speed, scalability, and data integrity.

Engineered TnX Transposase Enables Directional Tagmentation

At the core of the MosaiX DNA Library Prep Kit is seqWell’s proprietary engineered TnX™ transposase. This innovation powers a novel directional tagmentation workflow that improves uniformity and reduces insertion bias. As a result, researchers can generate high-quality libraries in just 90 minutes end-to-end, with only 35 minutes of hands-on time.

Because many genomics projects involve low-input or complex samples, maintaining coverage uniformity and library complexity is critical. MosaiX addresses these needs while also supporting affordability and operational efficiency. Consequently, laboratories can scale their sequencing projects with greater confidence and consistency.

Early Access Success in Large-Scale Genomics

Leading genomic research institutions have already adopted the MosaiX DNA Library Prep Kit through early access programs. For example, Darwin’s Ark has deployed the kit for a large-scale feline genomics initiative using fur samples as input. Researchers report strong data quality, scalability, and consistent performance across diverse sample types.

According to seqWell’s leadership, the company designed MosaiX to combine the convenience of tagmentation with the high-performance requirements of complex human and large plant or animal genomes. Ultimately, the kit delivers versatility, speed, and robust sequencing data—positioning seqWell to support the next generation of high-throughput genomics research.
